Sommer has set goals for herself that are uniquely hers and that’s inspiration enough to achieve them. She is excited to be selected as a first-year resident assistant at her college. Sommer always knew she wanted to go to college, but could not zero in on an exact course of study. Ultimately, she has decided her long-term goal is to obtain a doctorate and to teach economics at the university level.

Sommer’s father, Geoffrey Ireland, is a district sales executive for Lifetouch National School Studios, Summerville, South Carolina.
